Ferrari Fashion School presents 025 LIVING MATTER/s, an event that marks the end of the academic year with a dual celebration open to the city and the fashion industry: a moment of encounter, inspiration, and vision where fashion, art, and communication come together in a collective narrative crafted by the Academy’s students.
The program includes an exclusive invitation-only Fashion Show and a public Showcase, offering a firsthand look at collections, projects, and installations born from a full year of research and experimentation.
The meaning behind “025 LIVING MATTER/s”
The project’s title plays on a double meaning: “living matter” and “living matters.” It reflects on the active, transformative role of fashion as a language that inhabits the present, questions reality, and dialogues with the body, nature, memory, and the creative industry. The conceptual research is inspired by the poetic legacy of Arte Povera, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens: raw materials, experimental installations, and a visual and conceptual approach. Each program interpreted the theme through its own language—collections, visual projects, digital storytelling, campaigns, and art direction—resulting in a multidisciplinary vision that merges fashion design, styling, photography, and strategic communication.
A multidisciplinary project
Students from the Bachelor’s programs in Fashion Design, Fashion Styling and Communication, Fashion Business and Digital Marketing, along with those from the Master’s programs in Fashion Photography and Fashion Film, and Fashion Styling and Art Direction, collaborated to create a unified, collective project. A vision that blends aesthetics, strategy, experimentation, and storytelling.
A public event and an exclusive YEARBOOK to close the year
During the event, the YEARBOOK 2025 will also be unveiled—a publication showcasing the most significant student projects of the academic year and documenting the creative journey across all programs.
“025 LIVING MATTER/s is an exploration of fashion as both a sensitive and political form,” says Anna Lottersberger, the school’s director. “Our students’ work gives shape to objects, images, and strategies that speak the language of the contemporary with urgency and depth.”
A collaboration between schools and the support of our partners
The Fashion Show features a selection of collections designed by students from the Fashion Design program at Ferrari Fashion School and includes a special outfit by a student from the Sustainable Fashion Design program at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, also inspired by the LIVING MATTER/S concept.
This collaboration marks a new chapter in fashion education among institutions within the Plena Education group, showcasing the desire to foster creative synergies and cross-pollination between different schools.
The organization warmly thanks Bonaveri as technical partner for the setups, Saint Louis College of Music for the soundtrack production, and Diadema for make-up creation.
