Ferrari Fashion School presents 025 LIVING MATTER/S, the event that concluded the academic year with a double celebration open to the city and to professionals: a moment of encounter, inspiration, and vision, where fashion, art, and communication intertwine in a collective narrative created by the students of the Academy.
The program included an exclusive Fashion Show by invitation and a Showcase open to the public, offering the opportunity to experience firsthand the collections, projects, and installations born from a year of research and experimentation.
The Meaning of “025 LIVING MATTER/S”
The title of the project stems from a dual interpretation: “living matter” and “living matters.”
It reflects on the active and transformative role of fashion—understood as a language that inhabits the present, questions reality, and dialogues with the body, nature, memory, and the creative industry.
The research was inspired by the poetic legacy of Arte Povera, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens: raw materials, installation experimentation, and a visual and conceptual approach.
Each course explored the theme through its own language—collections, visual projects, digital narratives, campaigns, and art direction—creating a multidisciplinary vision that connects fashion design, styling, photography, and strategic communication.
A Multidisciplinary Project
Students from the three-year programs in Fashion Design, Fashion Styling and Communication, Fashion Business and Digital Marketing, as well as from the Master’s programs in Fashion Photography and Fashion Film and Fashion Styling and Art Direction, collaborated to bring to life a collective project—an intersection of aesthetics, strategy, experimentation, and storytelling.
A Public Event and an Exclusive YEARBOOK
During the event, the 2025 YEARBOOK was also presented—a publication gathering the most significant projects produced throughout the academic year, documenting the creative journey of all courses.“025 LIVING MATTER/S is an exploration of fashion as a sensitive and political form,”
says Anna Lottersberger, the School’s Director.
“Our students’ work takes shape in objects, images, and strategies that speak the language of the contemporary world with depth and urgency.”
Collaboration Between Schools and Partner Support
The Fashion Show featured a selection of collections created by the Fashion Design students of Ferrari Fashion School and also presented an outfit by a student from the Sustainable Fashion Design course at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, inspired by the same creative concept LIVING MATTER/S.
This marks a new collaboration within Plena Education, highlighting a shared commitment to fostering cross-pollination and synergy among the group’s institutions.
The organization extends heartfelt thanks to Bonaveri (technical partner for set design), Saint Louis College of Music (soundtrack production), and Diadema (make-up realization).
Special thanks also go to the material suppliers and workshops that supported the creation of the presented works, including: Alessandro Gualea, Al.Ma. Tissues, Archetipo, BERTO, Le Tele di Tea, Limonta, Manteco, Mutevole, Spazio 3R, Tacchificio Monti.
