The Foundation Course is a complementary program aimed at achieving 60 academic credits, designed to introduce students to the study of cultural, design, historical, and artistic disciplines that will be further developed in subsequent academic pathways.
The Foundation Course at Ferrari Fashion School is a preparatory program of 60 credits designed for Italian and international students who wish to access the 3-year Fashion Design courses and Bachelor of Arts programs. This pathway integrates the basic skills required to successfully undertake academic studies, providing a solid foundation in visual arts, design, as well as fashion culture and history.
The teaching approach combines theory and practice, offering an immersive experience within the Milan fashion system. Students are guided by industry professionals to develop an effective and creative study method.
Through this program, international students with only 11 years of schooling can meet the minimum requirement set by the Ministry of Education and Research (a total of 12 years) before accessing the university system, while also strengthening their knowledge of key subjects essential for the development of artistic, audiovisual, multimedia, and design skills required.
The Foundation Course includes a total of 476 hours of study. At the end of the program, students obtain 60 ECTS credits and a Certificate of Attendance with PLIDA certification.

The Foundation Course is designed for Italian and international students who want to prepare for admission to the 3-year courses and Bachelor of Arts programs at Ferrari Fashion School.
Students develop basic skills in visual arts, fashion design, fashion culture and history, photography and video, as well as a creative and design-based study method.
The program includes 476 hours of study (17 hours per week). At the end of the course, students receive 60 ECTS credits, a Certificate of Attendance, and PLIDA certification, valid for access to 3-year courses in Italy.
