The event that celebrates the talent of young fashion designers from around the world was held for the first time in Mumbai, India, from October 13 to 16. This year, GFWi partnered with the international Pearl Academy to spotlight the exceptional talents of partner academic institutions worldwide. Thanks to this collaboration, one of our Fashion Design students, Ilaria Scanavini, had the opportunity to participate in the event and showcase her creations to a wide global audience.
Excitement was palpable among the participants, who saw this as a unique opportunity to challenge themselves and present their work to an international public. But competition isn’t the only thing that makes GFWi a must-attend event. Through workshops, conferences, and meetings with industry experts, students had the chance to learn and engage with some of the brightest minds in the fashion world. This not only provided them with new skills, but also the opportunity to build valuable relationships with industry professionals.
Moreover, the event allowed students to create a network of contacts with peers from all over the world, with whom they could share ideas and plan future projects.
Graduate Fashion Week International is much more than a fashion event.
It is a platform for students to showcase their talent, learn from top industry experts, and build meaningful relationships with fellow students and professionals alike.
