With great satisfaction, today we are here to share the conclusion of the “New Wave” project.
The main goal of this initiative was to give new life to old garments through upcycling, with the valuable collaboration of Archetipo, a company with a dual role: on one hand, a historic fabric store, and on the other, a vintage shop with a refined selection.
The project involved five groups of students, each working on 4-5 garments provided by Archetipo, transforming them into authentic fashion artworks. This challenge required free yet thoughtful creativity aimed at attracting Archetipo’s clientele through innovation and wearability of the newly created pieces.
This was a unique opportunity to work in teams and engage with the needs of a real client, putting into practice the skills acquired during their studies. It was an experience that encouraged collaboration among students from different educational paths, working together to reach a common goal where the focus was on teamwork rather than an individual approach.
We thank Archetipo for providing the vintage garments and for believing in the vision and creativity of our students. Their collaboration was essential to the success of this project, and we are grateful for the opportunity they gave our young designers to apply their skills and experience the fashion industry firsthand.
A special thanks also goes to all the students at Ferrari Fashion School who participated in this project. You demonstrated extraordinary passion, unparalleled attention to detail, and limitless dedication in creating unique and exceptional fashion pieces. Your commitment and talent were the key to this project’s success, and we are extremely proud of you.
We are confident that these experiences will reflect in their future as fashion designers, helping to fuel innovation and excellence in the industry.
