Zion Lacroix, born in Istanbul in 1992 as Doğa Vurgun, is a multidisciplinary avant-garde filmmaker and author based in Milan. Deeply influenced by underground culture, he explores the boundaries between reality and perception through an audiovisual narrative that blends skepticism, chaos and voyeurism with a semi-Oriental literary aesthetic.
His work investigates themes such as identity, alienation, and social detachment, questioning contemporary culture and the reconstruction of personal realities. Inspired by Entre les Trous de la Mémoire by Dominique Appia, Zion’s visual and narrative language challenges the conventions of 2000s pop imagery, establishing him as one of the most distinctive and experimental voices in Milan’s creative scene.
