Course Features

The Summer Fashion Lab in Milan offers an intensive two-week experience in which the city itself becomes the classroom. Practical workshops, lessons with industry professionals, and visits to showrooms, ateliers, and fashion museums ensure a hands-on and engaging learning journey.

Students will explore:

  • Trend forecasting and trend analysis
  • The fashion system and industry dynamics
  • Fashion design and garment construction
  • Styling and professional look creation
  • Fashion photography and visual communication

With the guidance of expert tutors, students will develop a personal portfolio that reflects both creativity and technical skills, preparing them to enter the international fashion industry.

Note: Accommodation, meals, and transport are not included. The Ferrari Fashion School provides support and agreements with selected accommodation providers.

Main Themes

An introduction to the fashion world and its dynamics. You will learn how the industry is structured, how fashion weeks operate, and how to analyse a runway show in order to anticipate future market trends.

Fashion design and its core principles: how to find inspiration and conduct visual research, create mood boards, and express ideas through drawing and illustration. You will also learn how to select materials and fabrics, and design original garments using upcycling techniques.

A module exploring the methods, techniques, and tools of fashion journalism, social media, and communication in general, from both a brand perspective and that of magazines (print and digital).

You will learn how to create editorials and advertising campaigns, organise a fashion photoshoot, select the right garments, customise them, and develop a strong visual storytelling approach, also using the school’s photography studio.

  • Agreements available with secondary schools in Lombardy and international institutions upon request
