Vincenzo Pernice

Vincenzo Pernice is a researcher and university lecturer in art history disciplines. After gaining some experience in the publishing world, he obtained a PhD in Visual and Media Studies at IULM University. He has held research positions in several institutions, including the Department of Cultural and Environmental Heritage of the University of Milan, Campus Ludes (Lugano), and the Fondazione 1563 per l’Arte e la Cultura of the Compagnia di San Paolo (Turin).

His studies have focused on 19th- and 20th-century art and culture, with particular attention to historical avant-gardes and the reception of the Baroque. He has published the monographs I romanzi del futurismo. L’avanguardia per tutti (2024) and Barocco e decadenza. Autori, oggetti, stilemi sei-settecenteschi negli scritti e nelle collezioni di Gabriele d’Annunzio (2024).

He was involved in the PNRR CHANGES program, experimenting with web3 technologies (AR, VR, AI) for the enhancement of theatre archives. His project Immersinscena received the CHANGES Award 2025 – Patrimonio Culturale al Futuro for its work on the Archive of the Gianni and Cosetta Colla Marionette Theatre.

Since 2023, he has been responsible for teaching History of Art and Costume in the Bachelor of Arts programs at Ferrari Fashion School, in collaboration with Teesside University.
