Afro Fashion Week Milano

OUR ALUMNI IN THE SPOTLIGHT AT AFRO FASHION WEEK MILAN

Once again this year, Ferrari Fashion School is pleased and proud to see its alumni taking center stage in important fashion and design events, featured in a calendar rich with international showcases and runway shows—among the most prominent in the industry.

Our alumna Amelia Pandini, a recent graduate in Fashion Design, presented her brand WHO _AM_I during Afro Fashion Week, an internationally acclaimed event held in collaboration with the Italian National Chamber of Fashion. The initiative promotes new generations of African and Afro-inspired designers and creatives during Milan Fashion Week, encouraging investment in creative activities led by designers with a strong focus on recycling and sustainability. These designers aim to blend aesthetic design with an equally vital awareness—both on the part of consumers and within the fashion system itself.

A distinguished jury

Amelia had the honor and emotion of presenting her work in front of some of the most important personalities in the fashion world, including Anna Wintour (Vogue US), Francesca Ragazzi (Head of Editorial Content for Vogue Italia), Sara Sozzani Maino (Head of Special Projects at Vogue Italia), and Edward Enninful (Editor-in-Chief of British Vogue).

What’s WHO AM I

Soul, mind, eyes, and heart—that’s where WHO I AM comes from. Thanks to this emotional approach to everything around me, I was able to understand how to give form to my ideas. My goal is to dive into new worlds, study them, understand them, and translate them in a completely new way. From that starting point, I decided to study and experiment with different fabrics, color combinations, various materials, and prints—all to learn something entirely new.WHO I AM was born from an inner search, a personal study of myself. That’s why in my brand, the letter ‘I’ is replaced by the symbol of an eye—because in English, they sound the same. But why an eye? Because our eyes are the mirror of our souls, and that’s what my project is about: my soul.
