MISAF 2023: Bridging Asian and European Markets in Milan
From June 13 to 15, MISAF 2023 took place in Milan, featuring over 60 Asian companies specializing in footwear and accessories. The event aimed to connect the Asian and European markets, promoting collaboration within the world of fashion and beauty. The digital platform Futuro Artigiano was also introduced, supporting young international designers in developing footwear and accessories collections.
A key highlight was the showcase of creations by Sheme, a leading Chinese brand known for high-end women’s footwear that blends tradition with international design. Panthink, the top jelly shoe manufacturer in Asia, presented its brands offering shoes renowned for their beauty, softness, and vibrant colors. Roenari displayed women’s footwear that combines fashion, individuality, and sustainability, introducing the emerging label RENR.
In this multicultural and creative setting, four of our students took part in a design contest, where the challenge was to develop a footwear and accessory concept aligned with the values of the participating companies and the central theme of the upcoming Fashion Show on June 29: AQUA.
All four of our students successfully completed the task, exceeding expectations, and were awarded a prize for the outstanding execution of their projects.
