On the occasion of the upcoming June 2022 edition of Milan Design Week, Ferrari Fashion School is launching a new project aimed at promoting and showcasing the talents of the Academy: Talent in Store.
The goal is to offer young creatives the opportunity to present their creations to the public during nationally and internationally recognized events, by providing free access to the Academy’s spaces, located in the heart of Milan’s Fashion & Design District.
Temporary showrooms, event venues, and runway spaces — all activated during Milan Fashion Week, Fuorisalone, and other major international events — will serve as platforms to host the launch of collections or projects by emerging young creatives.
“Being close to the public and potential clients usually comes with high costs, which limits market access for many talented students. This is how the Talent in Store project was born,” explains Silvia Ferrari, Director and Founder of the Academy. She adds: “Many opportunities can arise from this initiative: creating a direct connection between the school and the market, going beyond the boundaries of academic evaluation; giving visibility to the most talented individuals and projects while receiving direct feedback from the public; fostering encounters between buyers and emerging designers beyond traditional channels; and reducing the investment needed to launch new collections on the market through small capsule lines.”
On June 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the spaces and windows of Via Enrico Pestalozzi 4, Milan, will host the collections and design projects of Giovanni Cerimele, Sara Paduano, Georgiana Chirila, Carmen Ciellini, and Valentina d’Angelo.
This is a unique and important opportunity for students and alumni of the Academy, who — once they complete their studies — are supported in their entry into the professional world, gaining visibility and valuable opportunities for career growth.
The event is open to the public and is part of the official Fuorisalone 2022 calendar.
