AQUA - Fashion Show and Exhibition

Ferrari Fashion School promotes a new vision of fashion through research and sustainable innovation. The AQUA project was created to reflect on the responsible use of water and circular practices, demonstrating how creativity and respect for the environment can coexist.

The project

Ferrari Fashion School is committed to developing new talent, including through artistic and cultural research, and on June 29th, it presented the AQUA project.

At a time when the impact of human actions on the environment is crucial, the fashion world wants to adapt to new social rhythms and values, linked to respect for nature, the conservation of water resources, and adhering to circular economy models.

On June 29, 2023, at Alcatraz in Milan, Ferrari Fashion School presented the AQUA collection, based on a research project documenting and analyzing sustainable practices adopted by the fashion industry, as well as promoting new innovative solutions to mitigate the negative impact on water, not only by combating waste but also pollution.

Artistic and cultural research

Water, a priceless resource and the pillar of life.

Water, which touches every aspect of daily life, has never been so central to countless debates on sustainability. Not least of all, fashion, which is increasingly championing a sustainable revolution that until a few years ago seemed like a utopian vision of tomorrow’s world, but that’s not the case.

Final event

The exclusive event on June 29, 2023, hosted a static exhibition of projects on the theme and a Fashion Show featuring the School’s top talent, as well as two Teesside University students: Venuka Yasassri Wickramaarachchi, MA Fashion Design, and Harry Tribe, BA (Hons) Fashion Design.

The Fashion Show was divided into two parts: the group fashion show, showcasing the best creations by graduating students from the Fashion Design program, and the AQUA-themed fashion show, for which the designers developed a bespoke research project, resulting in the creation of garments and accessories.
