Camilla Carrara

Camilla Carrara, a Milanese designer born in 1991, is the founder of ZEROBARRACENTO, a brand launched in 2020 with the goal of rethinking the fashion system through a zero-waste, sustainable, and Made in Italy approach. After earning a degree in Fashion Design from the Politecnico di Milano and a Master in Sustainable Fashion at ESMOD Berlin, she developed a design method that combines contemporary aesthetics, functionality, and environmental and social responsibility.

ZEROBARRACENTO stands out for the application of zero-waste cutting techniques and the use of certified and sustainable materials, ensuring traceable productions and ethical working conditions. The project has received important international recognition, including the Recycling Design Preis, the Mad Mood Ethical Fashion Prize, and the Creative Conscience Award, as well as participation in European projects such as Createx and WORTH.

Her professional path includes collaborations as eco-design consultant for Cikis and editorial activities for industry publications such as Webandmagazine and OOF, focused on circular fashion and textile innovation. She has also collaborated with numerous academic institutions, including Università Bocconi, 24 Ore Business School, Milano Fashion Institute, Axis College, and University of the Incarnate Word, sharing her expertise on sustainability applied to fashion.

She has also worked with C.L.A.S.S. – Creativity Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy, coordinating projects, and within the MUSA project, she contributed to the development of databases dedicated to sustainable textile materials. Her vision sees fashion as a tool for positive change, capable of promoting inclusivity, innovation, and environmental and social protection.
