026 MEMBRANE Showcase: a dialogue between Education and the Fashion System

Following its annual Fashion Show, Ferrari Fashion School presented 026 MEMBRANE Showcase, an exhibition opening the School’s creative work to fashion professionals, journalists and industry partners. Conceived under the Curatorship of Riccardo Carrapa, the Showcase transformed the projects developed throughout the academic year into a multidisciplinary exhibition where fashion, visual culture, and entrepreneurship came together.

026 MEMBRANE Showcase demonstrated how contemporary fashion education increasingly develops through collaboration, bringing together design, styling, photography, filmmaking and business within a shared creative ecosystem.

From the Runway to the Exhibition Space

At the heart of the Showcase were the capsule collections created by graduating students from the undergraduate programme and Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design, and the Master of Arts in Fashion Design & Creative Direction. Presented beyond the runway, the collections invited visitors to discover the concepts, materials and craftsmanship behind each project.

The exhibition design, conceived by third-year students from the BA Fashion Styling & Communication, transformed the garments into immersive visual narratives, exploring the relationship between clothes, space and storytelling.

An essential contribution to the exhibition came from Bonaveri, the international leader in luxury mannequins for fashion, retail and cultural institutions. For the third consecutive year, Bonaveri’s mannequins became an integral part of the exhibition design, enabling students to present their collections through the same visual merchandising standards adopted by leading luxury brands and museums.

Visitors also experienced the film project created by students from the Master in Fashion Styling & Art Direction and the Master in Fashion Photography & Fashion Film, developed under the guidance of Zion Lacroix, demonstrating how moving image has become an increasingly important language for contemporary fashion communication.

Creativity, Business and Research

The Showcase highlighted not only creative practice but also the strategic thinking that increasingly defines today’s fashion industry. Alongside the collections, visitors explored selected abstracts developed by students from the Bachelor in Fashion Business & Digital Marketing, under the supervision of Ludovica Ligresti, presenting research on entrepreneurship, branding, sustainability and digital innovation. Strategic projects developed by students from the Master of Arts in Fashion & Luxury Management, under the guidance of Jacopo Bargellini, completed the exhibition.

During the event, Ferrari Fashion School also unveiled the YEARBOOK for 2026, the School’s annual editorial publication bringing together the work produced across the departments into a single editorial narrative.

Fashion Education Meets Industry

The Showcase welcomed more than 50 professionals from the international fashion and luxury industry, creating valuable opportunities for students to present their work directly to designers, entrepreneurs, recruiters and creative leaders.

Among the guests were Sara Sozzani Maino, Creative Director of Fondazione Sozzani; Giacomo Piazza, Co-Founder and Director of 247; Alessandro De Benedetti, Creative Director of Romeo Gigli; Alexander James, Knitwear Designer at Versace; Fabrizio Flaccomio, Senior Designer and Fabric Research specialist at Prada; Laura Fedriga, Head of Textile Design Atelier at Mantero; Filippo Schena, HR Consultant at Grafton; and Angelica De Vito, Partner and Talent Acquisition Manager at Between Research, alongside designers, managers and HR representatives from several fashion brands.

The collections themselves were made possible through close collaboration with some of Italy’s and Europe’s most respected textile companies, whose premium fabrics allowed students to develop their final projects using the same materials found in luxury fashion production. These industry partnerships involved Al.Ma. Tissues, Andrea Ya’aqov, Berto Industrie Tessili, Borghi 1819, Centro Seta, Clerici, Gruppo Cinque / Swing, La Rosa dei Venti, Lanificio Moessmer, Lanificio Paoletti, Limonta, Luxury Jersey, Lyria, MAM Maglificio Alto Milanese, Microtex, Olmetex, Studio Cernigliaro, Studio Molinari, Studio Penta, Studio Troiani and Tessilbiella, further strengthening the connection between education and professional practice.

026 MEMBRANE Showcase reflects Ferrari Fashion School’s vision of fashion education: an environment where creativity stands for interdisciplinary collaboration, enriched by industry partnerships and continuous dialogue with the professionals shaping the future of fashion
