Through its partnership with Teesside University, Ferrari Fashion School offers three internationally recognised Bachelor of Arts (Honours) programmes that combine the academic excellence of the UK higher education system with the creativity and industry connections that have defined fashion education in Milan for more than twenty years.
Students can choose between three specialist pathways:
- BA (Hons) Fashion Design
- BA (Hons) Fashion Styling & Creative Direction
- BA (Hons) Fashion Business & Digital Marketing
Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates achieve 180 ECTS credits, 360 UK university credits, and receive two complementary qualifications recognised internationally.
British Academic Excellence Meets Milan’s Fashion Industry
This partnership is far more than an academic validation.
It brings together two educational cultures that share the same ambition: preparing graduates capable of succeeding in an increasingly international, interdisciplinary and fast-changing fashion industry.
At Ferrari Fashion School, learning is built around studio practice, craftsmanship, experimentation, live industry projects and direct interaction with fashion companies, designers and creative professionals.
Teesside University complements this experience with a higher education model centred on research, critical thinking, independent enquiry and project-based learning, ensuring that students develop not only professional skills but also intellectual confidence and creative maturity.
Three Bachelor of Arts (Honours) for Different Careers in Fashion
Each programme has been designed around a specific area of the contemporary fashion industry.
The BA (Hons) Fashion Design develops creative and technical expertise in collection design, garment construction, textile research, tailoring and innovation.
The BA (Hons) Fashion Styling & Creative Direction focuses on visual storytelling, fashion image-making, editorial styling, photography, communication and creative direction.
The BA (Hons) Fashion Business prepares future professionals in branding, marketing, luxury management, entrepreneurship, digital communication and business strategy.
While each programme offers a distinct specialisation, all share the same educational philosophy: combining academic research with professional practice to prepare graduates for successful international careers.
An Inclusive Learning Methodology That Values Different Ways of Thinking
One of the defining strengths of the Teesside University educational model is its commitment to inclusive learning.
Rather than expecting every student to learn in the same way, the curriculum recognises that creativity emerges through different cognitive approaches, experiences and perspectives. Learning activities and assessment methods encourage students to demonstrate their knowledge through research, practical projects, presentations, reflective practice and portfolio development.
This methodology naturally supports students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD), including dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD, as well as students experiencing temporary or permanent additional learning needs.
More importantly, cognitive diversity is not viewed as a challenge to overcome, but as a source of innovation, divergent thinking and creative problem-solving: qualities that are increasingly valued throughout the global fashion and creative industries.
Two Complementary Qualifications
Alongside the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) awarded by Teesside University, students also receive the Ferrari Fashion School Diploma.
Embedded within Milan’s fashion ecosystem, the Diploma recognises the practical and professional dimension of the educational journey. Through design studios, textile experimentation, tailoring, fashion communication, internships and collaborations with leading brands, students develop the technical expertise and industry awareness expected by today’s employers.
Together, the university degree and professional diploma provide graduates with both international academic recognition and practical employability.
A Truly International Fashion Education
Studying at Ferrari Fashion School means experiencing fashion where it is created every day.
Located in Milan, one of the world’s fashion capitals, students benefit from continuous interaction with luxury brands, manufacturers, creative studios and industry professionals while earning an internationally recognised British university degree.
The result is an education that combines academic excellence, craftsmanship, innovation, inclusivity and professional experience, preparing graduates to contribute confidently to the future of the global fashion and luxury industries.
