026 MEMBRANE: Ferrari Fashion School Presents Its Annual Fashion Show and Showcase in Milan

How can fashion become a space where material, identity and innovation meet?

On 22 and 23 June, during Milano Fashion Week Men’s, Ferrari Fashion School presented 026 MEMBRANE, its annual Fashion Show and Showcase at Spazio Filippetti in Milan. More than a celebration of the academic year, the project brought together fashion design, styling, photography, film and fashion business to showcase the creativity and multidisciplinary vision of the School’s emerging talents.

Inspired by the concept of the membrane as both a physical structure and a symbolic threshold, this year’s theme invited students to explore the balance between protection and exchange, visibility and vulnerability, craftsmanship and innovation. Like a membrane, fashion becomes an interface between the individual and the world, constantly evolving through interaction, experimentation and transformation.

A Collective Creative Vision

The Fashion Show featured collections created by third-year students from the undergraduate Fashion Design programme and the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design, under the guidance of Giusy Liguori and Lia Kubaneishvili. The runway’s creative direction was developed by third-year students from Fashion Styling and Communication, supervised by Riccardo Carrapa, highlighting the importance of visual storytelling alongside garment design.

The following day’s Showcase expanded this dialogue through a curated exhibition of selected collections, a fashion film, editorial projects and entrepreneurial concepts, demonstrating how contemporary fashion increasingly connects design, communication, business and visual culture.

Creativity Across Disciplines

MEMBRANE also reflected Ferrari Fashion School’s collaborative approach to fashion education.

Students from the Master in Fashion Styling and Art Direction and the Master in Fashion Photography and Fashion Film presented a fashion film developed under the creative direction of Zion Lacroix, while a live piano performance created in collaboration with Saint Louis College of Music transformed the runway into a multisensory experience.

Students from the Bachelor in Fashion Business and Digital Marketing and the Master of Arts in Fashion and Luxury Management, under the supervision of Ludovica Ligresti and Jacopo Bargellini, introduced innovative business concepts addressing cultural heritage, wellbeing, sustainability and the growing impact of artificial intelligence on the fashion industry.

The event was the opportunity to present the YEARBOOK 026 MEMBRANE, entirely produced in-house, bringing together the work developed throughout the academic year by students across Fashion Design, Fashion Styling and Communication, Fashion Photography and Fashion Film, and Fashion Business and Digital Marketing into a single editorial publication celebrating the School’s collective creative identity.

Supporting the Next Generation of Fashion Talent

026 MEMBRANE was made possible thanks to the support of leading Italian textile companies and industry partners, whose contribution allowed students to experiment with premium materials while developing their collections.

Ferrari Fashion School would like to thank Al.Ma. Tissues, Andrea Ya’aqov, Berto Industrie Tessili, Borghi 1819, Centro Seta, Clerici, Gruppo Cinque / Swing, La Rosa dei Venti, Lanificio Moessmer, Lanificio Paoletti, Limonta, Luxury Jersey, Lyria, MAM Maglificio Alto Milanese, Microtex, Olmetex, Studio Cernigliaro, Studio Molinari, Studio Penta, Studio Troiani and Tessilbiella for supporting this year’s project.

Special thanks also go to Bonaveri, which once again provided its iconic mannequins to enhance the presentation of the students’ collections, and to Diadema, which curated the make-up and hair styling for the editorial shoots.

Fashion Education Beyond Boundaries

026 MEMBRANE reflects Ferrari Fashion School’s educational philosophy: encouraging students to combine craftsmanship, experimentation and critical thinking while working across disciplines. By collaborating with industry professionals and developing projects that integrate design, communication, image-making and entrepreneurship, students gain the skills needed to shape the future of the global fashion and luxury industries.
